艺术辅导—化悲伤为力量
儿助会志愿者在川开展的儿童辅导
7.14日开始，我们在两河村为处于暑假期的孩子们做辅导工作。这里的孩子有60名左右，包括从幼儿园到高中生。图为志愿者为幼儿园的孩子做辅导。
艺术辅导是把消极情绪引导到积极思维的良好方式。这里的志愿者多是中央美院的学生，他们为孩子们做美术课、音乐课等，很受欢迎。这样的辅导课对孩子们排解压力、释放情绪有很多好处。
我有许多梦想。。。
为自己装扮一个漂亮的家。。
汶川的孩子们也得到了一堂美术课，由美院的哥哥姐姐为他们上课。到了放学的时间，他们还依依不舍不愿离去。
有音乐特长的志愿者很受欢迎，在条件有限的情况下，吉他弹唱的音乐能给大家很多乐趣，通过健康、积极的歌唱抒发表达情感是比较安全的方式。
游戏是一种最好也最受孩子们欢迎的辅导课，当然也是应用最多的。在主题游戏中可以有针对性地训练孩子的多种能力，也能提高孩子的协作沟通能力。
八月过后，灾区的孩子们就陆续开学了。我们会与一些学校长期合作，开展以学习方法、生活行为规范、品格教育、心理辅导为主题的学生、教师培训。艺术辅导也是其中一种方式。希望更多具有这方面经验的老师和机构与我们合作，制定更加系统、长期的辅导策划，为四川的孩子们带来更切实的帮助。

7月24日下午，由儿童希望组织的爱心妈妈灾区献爱心活动在四川省安县永安小学举行。永安小学位于重灾区安县永安镇，全校有两个校区，共1200多名学生。儿童社会救助工作委员会为该小学捐赠了两台美国安通纳斯的净水器，同时还在该校设立了社工点。地震造成该小学4名学生成为孤儿，10名学生成为单亲儿童。全校共有60多名小学生参加了活动，学校工会主席肖洪到活动现场致欢迎词并接受捐赠。明星妈妈们给灾区小学生们带去了礼物，并和孩子们共同表演了节目。

7月25日下午，美国友好人士Lisa和和睦家医院的两名医生一行来到四川省德阳市旌阳区社会福利院看望灾区福利院的孤儿，了解福利院的需求，并给福利院的孩子们送去了药品等。福利院收养孤儿56名，其中脑瘫儿童有20名左右，目前由于没有脑瘫康复器材，脑瘫儿童的康复工作一直没有做起来。此外，部分孩子需要手术治疗。

7月26日上午，张雯主任和美国友人一行来到委员什邡市罗汉寺院内的帐篷医院。什邡市妇幼保健院在地震后受灾严重，医院已经不能使用，全体义务人员将医院搬到了千年古寺罗汉寺的院内。地震后第一名产妇是在雨伞和手电筒的条件下生产的，自5.12地震以来，已经有90多名产妇在罗汉寺的帐篷医院平安地生下了孩子，胡锦涛主席听到什邡妇幼保健院的事迹后亲自来到医院慰问这里的医务人员。

Hope Centre在关注灾区儿童的同时对当地灾民的关怀也是无微不至的。韩国首尔政府的救灾水顺利到达擂鼓安置点，灾民在饮用水上得到补充。
“儿助会”在Hope Centre还有对灾区孩子的助医，现发现一名孩子有上眼睑下垂造成眼睛视力弱视，目前已联系绵阳中心医院，为孩子做手术。“儿助会”对孩子的手术全额资助。

擂鼓安置点驻扎的志愿者，他们分别是社工、留学生、公司人员，在此地负责社工调查反馈工作。这里的灾民有7个区，几百顶帐篷。他们每天到各个帐篷去慰问访谈，发现需要帮助的孤儿、单亲家庭儿童、生病的孩子，就及时反馈给我机构进行相关项目的救助。他们经过心理访谈的培训和社工调查实践，讲究方法，得到当地人民和有关单位的认可。
Unsung Heroes: The work of SCC volunteers
SCC volunteers stationed at earthquake victim settlements in Leigu can be separated into a few groups: social workers, foreign students, and even ordinary working people. Here, the volunteers conduct social work, conducting casework and reporting back to SCC. There are seven earthquake victim settlements in the area, with several hundred tents. On a daily basis, SCC volunteers visit each area, developing relationships with victims through caseworker visits and interviews. During these visits, social work volunteers search out orphans, single-parent families, and sick children in need, and enroll them in the appropriate SCC program. These volunteers pass training in conducting psychological interviews and conducting social work investigations. They are also scrutinized and approved by local authorities and SCC.
志愿者在永安中心小学。他们分别是美术教师、培训师兼翻译、大学生。在这个学校进行的心理辅导课得到孩子和学校老师的好评，校长更是非常肯定我们的工作。7.10后，学生们开始放暑假，他们则到永安安置点和附近的村落进行社工调查，每天走很多山路，不辞辛苦。目前已经发现数个需要我们救助的孤儿、单亲家庭。
Volunteers at Yongan Central Elementary School include fine arts teachers, tutors and translators, and college students. The counseling programs at this school have received positive feedback from both teachers and students, and the school principal is especially supportive of our work. After students began their summer vacation on July 10th, volunteers began conducting social work investigations at Yongan settlements and nearby villages. Each day, SCC volunteers in Yongan tirelessly trek countless mountain roads. They have already found and offered SCC's help to numerous orphans and single-parent families here.

Volunteers in the Two Rivers village within Xiaoba Township include foreign students and professionals from various companies in beijing. Here in Xiaoba, volunteers counsel children on summer break. They also teach summer school classes, including painting, Korean language, and English language, and have already earned the admiration of the local children. In total, there are 50-60 children. Volunteers will continue conducting week-long summer camps for the children.

Volunteers in the Qixin village within Xiaoba Township are college students from Beijing. There are more than 20 children here, all incredibly lively and cute. They are taking responsibility for a team of child educators from Shanghai, and will continue conducting a summer camp. Using methods such as drawing, movies, and games, volunteers will continue to help lead the children in character education.

我们在永安镇灾民安置点有四个志愿者，他们其中有培训师，社工和老师，培训师主要帮助做志愿者团队建设工作。每晚志愿者都有小组活动，以如何增加团队凝聚力为主题来分享。
擂鼓镇也有四个志愿者，主要从事社工调查工作，调查孤儿、单亲家庭和助医项目的救助对象。
永安镇中心小学上周结束了为期三周的心理辅导课，上周四心里培训师为学校老师做了一次培训，内容是关于如何关爱学生。
有四个志愿者昨天去了小坝镇两河村，那里有个帐篷学校，他们会与红十字会的志愿者合作做孩子的暑期辅导工作。
We have four volunteers here at the earthquake victims settlement camp in the Yongan township. Among them are tutors, social workers, and teachers. Tutors mainly work on teambuilding for the volunteers. Every evening, volunteers hold small group activities to share and increase group cohesion.
There are also four volunteers in the township of Leigu, mostly engaging in social work, visiting orphans, single-parent families, and participants of medical relief projects.
Last week, Yongan Central Elementary School concluded their three week psychological counseling program. Last Thursday, SCC's psychology consultants conducted a training for teachers on how to care for students.
Yesterday four volunteers went to the Two Rivers village in Xiaoba Township. There is a tent school there, where they will work with red cross volunteers tutoring students during their summer holiday.

7月8日，中国社会工作协会儿童社会救助工作委员会的工作人员陪同美国儿童健康机构的Eric Stowe先生、安通纳斯中国部总经理成瑶女士以及成都百泰吉实业有限公司总经理庹汉宏先生来到四川灾区进行30台净水设备的安装。
他们首先来到郫县。郫县距汶川震中仅50多公里，紧邻都江堰，虽然这次大地震并未给这里带来大的损失，但经过专家认定，当地有33幢学校的教学楼由于地震影响已无法使用，必须重新修建；还有5幢成了危房，需要加固才能投入使用；还有123幢楼设施受损，需要维修。郫县本地共有学生6万余名，自地震发生以来，郫县已接受了来自都江堰、汶川、北川和安县的受灾学生2000余名，预计共会接受4-6千名灾区的学生。
第一台设备安装在清河中学，该校现有学生660多名，受地震的影响，一幢综合楼正在进行加固，唯一的一幢教学楼已被拆除，准备重建，计划将会合并临近的一所小学共同办学。目前4排板房已经建成可以投入使用。
郫县大多数学校都是自己打井抽取地下水使用，地震发生后，大量的供水设施受损，水质发生了明显变化，老师们都反映学校的水含沙很重。抽取的地下水的硬度和重金属含量均偏高。再加上夏日到来，天气炎热，很多孩子不注重饮水卫生，常常直接饮用地下水，这些都对孩子们的健康存在着严重的隐患。为郫县的学校安装的进水设备能使地下水直接达到饮用水的标准，这无疑是给孩子们的健康提供了保障。
“5•12”地震发生后，安通纳斯公司就决定向中国社会工作协会儿童社会救助工作委员会捐赠30台净水设备，用于灾区群众和孩子们的饮水健康。在这里，我们要感谢安通纳斯公司和美国儿童健康机构的热心捐赠，给灾区孩子们带来了健康，感谢成都百泰吉公司提供的安装和技术支持。
On July 8, Save the Children Committee (SCC) staff, in collaboration with both local and international groups, installed the first of 30 donated water purification systems at Qinghe Middle School in Pi County. Participants included Eric Stowe of A Child's Right, Kitty Cheng, general manager of Antunes Equipment Manufacturing Company, and Tuo Hanhong, managing director of Chengdu Bai Tai Ji Industrial Company.
Pi County, near Dujiangyan, lies only 50 kilometers from the epicenter of the Wenchuan earthquake. Although Pi County escaped the earthquake with fewer losses than many other areas, experts have decided that 33 of the local school buildings are no longer inhabitable. These buildings must be torn down and completely rebuilt. Five other buildings must be renovated and reinforced before using. Besides these, 123 other buildings have sustained varying degrees of damaged, and need repairs. Altogether, Pi County has just under 60,000 school-aged children. After the May 12th earthquake, Pi County took in another 2,000 students from Dujiangyan, Wenchuan, Beichuan and An County. This number is expected to rise to 4,000-6,000.
Presently, Qinghe Middle School teaches its 660 students out of the cafeteria and four temporary prefabricated buildings at present. After the earthquake on May 12th, only one of Qinghe Middle School's three buildings, the multi-purpose building, remained habitable, although it must first be renovated in order to use. The earthquake damaged the school's only classroom building beyond repair. A new classroom building is in the works, though plans are to share the building with the local elementary school. After the earthquake, scores of students from quickly returned to Qinghe Middle School to study. The school’s water supply, however, put the students in danger a second time. Damaged during the earthquake, the water no longer potable.
The majority of schools in Pi County use individual wells to tap groundwater. During the earthquake, however, most water supply facilities sustained heavy damage, seriously affecting groundwater quality. Now, the wells suffer from problems with hard water and high metal content. Yet now, during the hot Sichuan summer, many children have no choice but to drink the groundwater directly, despite the sanitation hazards. This presents hidden health risks to children who have already suffered so much.
After just a few short hours on July 8th, the children of Qinghe Middle School were again able to enjoy their right—access to fresh, clean water. Using the donated equipment, water is immediately potable, allowing Qinghe Middle School to continue protecting the education future and well being of its students.
After the May 12th earthquake, the Antones Company immediately donated 30 water purification systems, hoping to safeguard the health and safety of earthquake victims and their children. SCC would like to thank the Antones Company and A Children's Right for supporting SCC’s mission to ensure the health and welfare of China’s children. We would also like to thank Bai Tai Ji for offering their assistance in installing the equipment.

自2008年5月12日四川发生8级强烈地震以后，位于重灾区的汶川儿童福利院损失巨大，院舍成了危房，茂县也一度成为孤岛。工作人员不得不带着孩子们搬到了临时搭建的帐篷里。
自5月12日地震发生后，“儿助会”一直都设法与汶川福利院的郎院长保持联系，随时了解福利院的最新消息和需求。5月25日，“儿助会”的工作人员冒着生命危险沿着随时都会遇到山体滑坡的道路来到了汶川福利院，给他们带去了大量的物资，包括食品、生活用品，以及给孩子们的玩具，更重要的是还有一台发电机，让孩子们的帐篷里终于用上了电灯。
出入茂县的道路处于崇山峻岭之间，甚至很多路段的另一侧就是湍急的河流。自地震发生以来，山体滑坡频频发生，前往重灾区茂县的道路多次中断，道路疏通的工作每天都在进行。由于道路崎岖，再加上福利院资金匮乏，缺少适合通行山区的车辆，福利院人员接送和物资运送一直都是个大问题。
昨日（2008年7月8日）儿助会捐赠了汶川阿坝州儿童福利院价值18万的北京现代途胜汽车一辆。
After the 8.0 magnitude earthquake hit Sichuan province on May 12, 2008, Wenchuna's orphanage suffered devastating losses. The earthquake made buildings uninhabitable, and turned Maoxian into an isolated island. Staff have had no choice but to move the children to temporary shelter in tents.
Since the May 12th earthquake, "SCC" has been attempting to maintain constant contact with the director of the Wenchuan orphanage, in order to keep abreast of any new needs or developments. On May 25th, SCC's staff braved possible landslides in order to deliver supplies to the Wenchuan orphanage, including food, sundry items, and children's toys. More importantly, SCC staff brought a generator to the orphanage, giving the children access light and electricity once again.
The road in and out of Maoxian lies between two steep mountain passes, and many sections of the road lie along rushing rivers. After the earthquake came, landslides have become a common occurrence, interrupting many parts of the road to Maoxian. Road repairs continue everyday. Because the road in and out of Wenchuan is so rugged and the Wenchuan orphanage lacks funding, they lack access to licensed vehicles able to traverse the mountain passes, and therefore delivering supplies is a big problem.
Sunday (July 8th), SCC donated a Beijing Hyundai Tuscon model car, worth 180,000RMB to the Abazhou orphanage in Wenchuan.

On July 4th, all of our volunteer on the front lines gathered in Mianyang for a formal training session. The training session included basic instruction in psychological counseling, communication skills training for work with disaster victims, and methods for seeking out potential needs cases.
7月7日，由上海爱心人士筹集的一批救灾物资运抵成都，物资包括童装、孕妇奶粉以及儿童书籍等，总计价值13000余元。我们会根据灾区的实际情况，按照资助方的意愿，将这些物品派送到最需要的地方。在此，感谢这些上海的爱心人士对灾区的帮助。
On July 7th, a large donation from caring people in Shanghai arrived in Chengdu. The supplies included more than 13,000RMB worth of children's clothes, powdered milk supplements for pregnant women, and children's books. In accordance with the desires of the donors and the needs of the disaster areas, we will first distribute the items to the areas most in need. We are so grateful for Shanghai's caring people and the help they have provided to those in disaster areas.

Our second wave of volunteers continue to provide psychological support classes at Yong'an Elementary School. These classes mainly take the form of painting, arts and crafts, playing games, and singing. Yong'an children have been truly welcoming of the volunteers and the classes. They have even taken to accompanying their teachers on visits to the families of students who have not yet returned to classes. Here, the teachers gather basic information, provide academic guidance, and organize games for nearby children who have not yet returned to classes.

安县桑枣中学，位于桑枣镇，拥有初一至初三，3个年级，共计2323名学生。该校教学质量很高，连续12年在绵阳市取得中考成绩第一的名次。这里的学生来自绵阳各地，多为住校生，全校的教学楼、实验楼和宿舍楼，地震后均出现明显的墙体裂缝。还有部分坍塌的情况。其中一栋男生宿舍楼受损尤其严重。
校长叶志平是四川省优秀校长，也是此次地震中创造了“2300多名学生，100多名教师无一伤亡”奇迹的校长。初三年级的学生因7月8日、9日要参加中考，所以早已复课。这几百名初三学生目前在学校食堂中上课，在操场上的帐篷里住宿。初一和初二年纪暂未复课。
目前学校的板房校区正在紧张搭建之中，估计将在7月底至8月初全面复课。该校有以下需求：
需求1：床上用品（床单，被，褥，枕头，枕套），至少1000套
需求原因：地震之后很多学生的家庭受灾严重，房屋坍塌，复课后需住校的孩子，需要床上用品
需求2：电脑50台
需求原因：学校的电脑教室是一间平房，地震时所有的瓦片全部脱落，12号夜里又下了一夜的大雨，虽然学校组织用塑料布等物品对电脑进行覆盖，但是仍有大部分电脑因进水而破损。
需求3：复课后的学生心理支持
需求4：针对教师的儿童心理工作辅导
Sangzao Middle School, located in Peace county, teaches 2,323 students in grades 7-9. The school is one of the best in the area. For the past 12 years running, students at Sangzao Middle School have had the highest test scores in Mianyang county. Students at Sangzao hail from every part of Mianyang, and many live on campus. During the earthquake, Sangzao Middle School's classrooms, laboratories, and dormitories all sustained serious damage. Some buildings even collapsed. The boys' dormitory sustained particularly serious damage during the earthquake.
Principal Ye Zhiping has been hailed as one of Sichuan's most outstanding educators. During the earthquake, he achieved a miracle--out of over 2,300 students and more than 100 teachers, not one person became a casualty to the earthquake.
On July 7th, 8th, and 9th, Sangzao Middle School's third year students took their high school entrance exams. In order to prepare for the exams, the students returned to school during the summer, attending class in the cafeteria and living in tents on the athletics fields. Sangzao Middle School's first and second year students have not yet returned to class.
At present, temporary housing for the school is being erected, and students should be able to return to class in the beginning of August. The school is in need of the following support:
1) Bedding (sheets, blankets, mattresses, pillows, pillowcases): At least 1,000 sets.
Explanation: After the earthquake, many students' homes were severely damaged, and many families' homes have collapsed. In order to continue attending, students will need to live at Sangzao Middle School, and thus need bedding.
2) Computers: At least 50
Explanation: The school's computer lab was previously housed in a single-story building. During the earthquake, the ceiling of the building caved in. Afterwards, although the school covered all computers with plastic, severe rainstorms and flooding damaged nearly all of the computer lab's equipment.
3) Ongoing counseling for students after they resume their studies.
4) Training for teachers in child psychology and counseling.

这次到陕西地震灾区送一批救援物资，感受最深的是看到汉中福利院开展的模拟家庭和残疾孩子的技能培训。模拟家庭也是收养的残疾孩子，这些孩子在家庭的照料下，显得很活泼可爱，他们虽然有各种残疾，包括智障的孩子，但对家长来说，每个孩子都特别有灵性，有特长。在爸爸妈妈的眼里，这些孩子都是最好最优秀的孩子。还有一些大孩子，他们进入特殊的职业培训中心，学习最简单的生活技能，做饭、扫地、修鞋、做家务、学习盲文等，这里的残疾孩子都对生活充满自信。
这是一家人，“父母”和六个孩子。模拟家庭的家长都是在上百名报名者里挑选的优秀者，要爱孩子、有责任心。
From Children's Hope Director Wu Jianying:
During the recent trip to earthquake affected areas in Shanxi, we delivered a load of relief supplies. Yet during my time here, the experience that affected me most was seeing the Hanzhong social welfare institute's training for institutional families with special needs children (caregivers and orphans who live together in familial-style arrangements).
Hanzhong's institutional families have truly adopted these children with special needs, and under their care, the children have become vivacious and beautiful. Although there are children facing every kind of challenge, even severe developmental delays, to their guardians, each child has spirit, and is special. In the eyes of their fathers and mothers, every child is the most outstanding. They are the best children that parents could ask for.
Hanzhong Social Welfare Institute also cares for a number of adults with developmental delays. Here, they enter vocational skills training center. Studying simple life skills, such as making food, sweeping, cobbling, household duties, and literacy, they are able to meet life brimming with confidence.
Each family consists of guardians--a "mother" and "father", and six children. Institutional family parents are selected from a roster of several hundred names. They must love children, and have a heart for true responsibility.

This is another family, and although all of the children suffer developmental delays, you can tell from the smiles on their faces, they are truly blessed.
汉中福利院有16家模拟家庭，大部分孩子生活在家庭里，这里的孩子和生活在集体抚养环境里的孩子有明显区别，他们喜欢学习、喜欢和大人交流。这些孩子在聚精会神看我们带去的图书。
Most of the children under the care of the Hanzhong social welfare institute live in one of Hanzhong's 16 institutional family settings. Here, the collective living environment makes a huge difference in the lives of the children. They like to study, and enjoy communicating with adults. These children are concentrating on the books we've brought!

The volunteers mainly visit those who are living in the mountains, where they conduct home visits with children who have not yet returned to school. These home visits are conducted on a weekly basis. Volunteers and teachers will check homework given to the children, and assign new homework. On these visits, volunteers also gather children in the area together, and conduct psychological counseling, as well as inquiring into the children's current situations.

6月22日我们来到了什邡市千年古刹罗汉寺，同时也是“5•12”地震后的什邡市妇幼保健院所在地。在地震当天，保健院的大楼成了危房，所有的在院人员都紧急撤出。随后，这间寺庙就成了他们的庇护所。
Today we arrived at the thousand-year old Buddhist temple of Luo Han in Shifang city. Despite being rocked by the 5.12 earthquake, Shifang's health care center for women and children is still standing.
Since the earthquake, the health care center's main building has been deemed uninhabitable. All of the center's personnel had to be evacuated.
现在从诊室、药房到产房都是安置在临时搭建的帐篷内。医护人员们似乎已习惯了在这样的条件下有条不紊的工作。
Currently, all services, including the clinic, pharmacy, and delivery room have been moved to temporary tents outside. Medical personnel seem to have habituated themselves to the current conditions quite quickly, and services are again running smoothly.
当我们来到手术室时，发现这里的设施相当的简陋，两张禅床重叠起来搭成的产床，还有一张最近才由别的医院送来的非常陈旧的产床，医生们反应使用起来很不方便；没有一般手术室必须具备的无影灯，只有两盏白炽节能灯泡。由于以前保健院手术室内的无影灯是固定安装在手术室上方的，所以根本无法挪到别处使用。可幸的是就在这样简陋的手术环境下，自地震发生以来，医护人员们在禅床搭成的简易手术台上，已成功接生了69名婴儿，一共有70个新的生命在这里诞生，他们为灾区带来了新的希望。
As we visited the operating tents, we discovered that surgical conditions were extremely basic. Two overlapping tables have become one makeshift surgical table, and doctors have borrowed an extremely old birthing table from another hospital.
Doctors admit that the setup is inconvenient. They lack half of the necessary surgical lighting, and have only two lamps with incandescent energy-saving bulbs to light operations. Unfortunately, surgical lighting in the original building was permanently mounted, so there is no way to use it in the temporary surgical tents outside.
However, despite rough operating conditions, Shifang's medical personnel have been extremely successful. On the improvised operating table in the surgical tents, medical personnel have delivered 69 babies, welcoming a total of 70 new lives, and new hope, into the world.
“5•12”特大地震灾害，给保健院房屋、设备等造成了严重的损害。据了解，预计20天后，保健院才能入住到活动板房内，这个过渡期可能长达2-3年。目前，他们最需要的就是手术室内的配套设施，包括产床、手术床、无影灯以及麻醉机等设备。
The "5.12" earthquake in Sichuan has caused serious damage to the buildings and equipment at the women's and children's medical center in Shifang city. According to reports, an estimated 20 extra days is required for the health care center to move into semi-permanent, prefabricated housing, where it will remain for 2-3 years. 6月23日前方同事黄鑫带着擂鼓3区8号棚发现的有眼疾的孩子去绵阳中心医院做检查，孩子叫母志望，今年11岁。在医院检查发现孩子有上眼睑下垂，弱视和屈光不正，医院建议尽快手术。然后要求家庭先去当地开地震地区贫困证明和当地医疗点的医疗证明。在2者可以都具备的情况下，手术可以在此医院得到手术的免费。但是可能会有一些特殊情况出现，比如医疗证明，因为地震已经让曲山镇面目全非，所以当地医疗点现在到底存在不存在还是个未知数，如果这样的情况出现，我们回再考虑其他办法帮助这个孩子。
Over the past few days, staff member Huang Xin took a local child to the Mianyang Central Hospital for further testing of a recently diagnosed eye disease. 11-year old Mu Zhiwang is currently living in the number eight section of the Leigu settlement's Area Three. During the hospital's exams, Mu Zhiwang manifested multiple symptoms, including drooping eyelids, a general dimness of sight, and refractive errors. Doctors at Mianyang Central Hospital recommended Zhiwang undergo surgery as soon as possible.
In order to obtain surgery at Mianyang Central Hospital, Mu Zhiwang's family must first obtain both certification of earthquake-related poverty and certification of medical treatment at the local medical center. After fulfilling these two conditions, Mu Zhiwang will be able to obtain the eye surgery free of charge at Mianyang Central Hospital.
Unfortunately, obtaining these two types of certification may present some unusual obstacles. Obtaining certification at a local medical center may, for instance, be a problem. As the recent earthquake has completely destroyed the family's hometown, it is unknown whether or not the local medical centers actually exist any longer. If a situation like this does arise, and the family is unable to obtain certification, we will need to look for other avenues to help Mu Zhiwang undergo surgery.

Relief supplies from Shanghai public interest groups, including Sunflower, reached Chengdu. The donation totaled more than 260 boxes, and included supplies for women and children, food, educational materials, clothing, and medicine, among others. After organizing the donations, goods will be dispersed directly to survivors in earthquake-affected areas as needed.

今天我们为永安镇安置点的孩子们联系好了军训事宜。这几天连续降雨我们了解到孩子们没有雨鞋，只能光脚在泥水中；考虑到卫生问题，我们决定为孩子们购置一批雨鞋。鞋号已经统计好，计划明天购买并送至永安镇安置点发放。
永安镇小学的志愿者们，今天随同学校教师前往不能上学的孩子家中家访，效果很好。正在与校长协商在教学之余，更多的从事家访工作以了解情况。永安镇中心小学的住校部将在近日复课，具体时间还未确定，但需要600套床上用品。

Today we helped arrange physical education for the children at the Yongan Zhen settlements.
Also, it has been raining continuously over the past few days. We're finding that the children at the Yongan Zhen settlements do not have galoshes, so they are going barefoot in the mud. Out of concern for the potential health issues, we've decided to purchase a number of galoshes for the children. We have already estimated the number of pairs needed, and plan to purchase the shoes tomorrow and send them to the Yongan Zhen settlements.
Volunteers with the Yongan Zhen elementary school accompanied teachers on house visits for children unable to attend school. In order to better understand children's situations, volunteers have been conducting the home visits and consulting with school representatives.
Those boarding at the Yongan Zhen Center elementary school will return to classes within the next few days. Class times have not been arranged. However, 600 sets of bed sheets are needed for the school's dormitories.
Today, earthquake survivors at the Huangtu Zhen settlement camps received 404 cases of mineral water from Korea.

6月16日，韩国首尔特别市政府上水道本部经营部长金庆汗先生等一行三人乘机抵达成都，并于当天乘车赶往绵阳，了解其所捐赠的“阿力水”的运送情况。运往四川地震灾区的2064箱“阿力水”已于15日成功运抵绵阳，其中600箱已运送到安县永安镇的灾民安置点，626箱运送到了北川县擂鼓镇灾民安置点。目前，剩余的“阿力水”正在安排运送过程中，我们希望能分发到最需要的地区。
On June 16th, Mr. Kim Kyung Han, director of management and administration division in the office of waterworks with the metropolitan government in Seoul, South Korea, flew to meet Children's Hope representatives in Chengdu. After landing, Mr. Jin, leading a party of three other delegates, rushed to Mianyang to oversee the delivery of their bottled water donation to earthquake victims.
Mr. Jin's group donated 2064 boxes of "A Li Shui" brand water to those in earthquake-affected areas of Sichuan. As of June 15th, most of the water has been transported to those in need. Earthquake victims in the town of Yongan received 600 boxes of water, while 626 boxes have been delivered to settlement camps in the town of Leigu, in Beichen county.At present, the remaining cases of water are awaiting transportation to areas in need.

I found this child ZhangChunLing through our volunteer group in Sichuan. She was burned when she was little. Her family lost their house to the earthquake, she saved two of her classmates life on May 12th. She is around 13, we have three video clips of her and her class, her parents, they ask if we can help to get her to treatment. We sent the picture to the burn hospital and doctors we know and ask them what can be done.
